Supporting the Development of Myanmar’s Tourism Sector

As Myanma Tourism Bank (MTB), our name reflects our commitment to supporting the growth and development of Myanmar’s tourism sector. Tourism is an important economic sector that extends beyond hotels and travel services. It connects a wide range of industries, including transportation, MSMEs, local businesses, handicrafts, and other related sectors, contributing to broader economic activity and local development. With the aim of supporting the continued development of this important sector, MTB provided funding support for the tourism industry in Nay Pyi Taw. This initiative represents more than financial support. It reflects MTB’s “Profit With Purpose” philosophy — creating positive impact for Myanmar’s tourism sector through the growth and success of our Bank. As part of our ongoing commitment, MTB has pledged to allocate 5% of the Bank’s profits towards the development of the tourism sector. This initiative marks another step in putting that commitment into action. MTB remains committed to working alongside businesses and communities to contribute to the sustainable development of Myanmar’s tourism sector.
