Job Overview :
IT Security Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization’s data and systems. IT Security Office needs to monitor security events and triage security incidents as necessary and conduct formal tests on web-based applications, networks, and other computer systems regularly. IT Security Office has to perform physical security assessments of servers, computer systems, and networks regularly.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls
- Monitor and analyze system logs and network traffic to identify suspicious activity
- Identify and address to security threats and vulnerabilities
- Handle security incidents by investigating, countering, and recovering from attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches
- Maintain the organization’s security systems to ensure continuosus operation
- Investigate current IT security trends, suggest improvements, and propose new processes or procedures.
- Perform risk assessments and gap analyses to uncover vulnerabilities and recommend suitable risk mitigation measures
- Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, and explain preventive measures
- Prepare monthly security awareness session
- Educate staff on security best practices and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization
- Coordinate projects across teams to protect the network
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- B.C.Tech/B.C.Sc/B.E(IT) or Equivalent Degree
- CCNA/CCNP (Security) or CEH or other security certification is an advantage
- Minimum 4 Years related working experience is required
- Good interpersonal and motivated
- Good communication skill and good team player
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Able to travel and support anytime
