Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Economics, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, relationship management, or a related field. Strong experience in customer acquisition, relationship management, and business development. Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and identifying new business opportunities. For financial services or merchant-acquiring roles, experience in banking, fintech, payments, POS, QR, or merchant acquisition is an added advantage.

Job-Related Knowledge/Specific Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of sales management principles, techniques, and processes.
  • Understanding of agent onboarding, registration, KYC, AML, and customer
  • due diligence requirements.
  • Understanding of mobile banking, digital wallets, POS devices, QR payments, and electronic transaction channels.
  • Ability to identify and resolve agent and customer operational issues on time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Duty & Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy & Business Expansion
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute impactful regional sales strategies to meet and exceed organizational revenue goals.
  • Target & Goal Setting: Establish, communicate, and track clear KPIs and sales targets for individuals and regional teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, analyze competitor activity, and monitor industry trends.
  • Expansion Planning: Provide strategic input on market expansion, acquisitions, and new product/service offerings to enhance customer value.
  1. Team Leadership & Talent Management
  • Recruitment & Hiring: Continuously source, interview, and onboard top sales talent to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Train, develop, and mentor team members, assisting with high-value deals and professional growth.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor metrics, and provide ongoing feedback to address strengths and bottlenecks.
  • Team Alignment: Lead regular sales meetings with the team to align on priorities, review targets, and share market insights.
  1. Client & Relationship Management
  • Key Account Management: Build and maintain long-term, high-value relationships with key clients, major partners, and stakeholders.
  • High-Level Negotiations: Participate directly in strategic client meetings to secure major sales and partnerships.
  • Field Engagement & Visits: Perform store and client field visits to ensure sales strategies are executed effectively.
  1. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Pipeline Analysis: Audit the sales pipeline regularly to forecast performance, identify risks, and streamline conversion workflows.
  • Lead Distribution: Review incoming leads and assign them efficiently to the appropriate sales representatives.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare regular sales forecasts, budget reports, and strategic performance updates for management.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations
  • Departmental Alignment: Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency, support campaign launches, and align product features with customer demand.
  • Budget Operations: Oversee regional sales budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximum ROI on promotional initiatives.
