MTB Bank Partners with TrueMoney Myanmar for Remittances from Thailand to Myanmar

YANGON, Myanmar – June 5, 2026 – Myanma Tourism Bank (MTB) is proud to announce a strategic partnership with TrueMoney Myanmar to launch a streamlined international remittance service.

This collaboration is dedicated to empowering Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand by providing a safer, faster, and more accessible channel to send their hard-earned income back home to their families. By seamlessly connecting the extensive TrueMoney network in Thailand with MTB’s robust domestic banking infrastructure, cross-border remittances can now be securely and efficiently cashed out at any Myanma Tourism Bank branch across the country.

To ensure a frictionless experience, beneficiaries can easily collect their funds by presenting just two requirements at any of our branches:
– Their original National Registration Card (NRC)
– The 8-digit secure password code provided by the sender

Facilitating secure, cross-border financial services is a key priority, and this partnership represents a significant milestone in supporting our citizens abroad while enhancing regional financial connectivity.
