Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Law, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is highly preferred.

Job-Related Knowledge/Specific Skills:

  • Sound understanding of AML, KYC, CDD, CTF, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, risk assessment, and internal control processes.

  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring systems.

Duty & Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, prepare, and submit Threshold Transaction Reports (TTR) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) to relevant regulators (Central Bank of Myanmar/FIU) in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide required information and support in response to requests from other banks or regulators, respond to related inquiries, and perform necessary data uploads into relevant systems.
  • Issue internal instructions and notices based on regulatory guidelines and closely monitor the implementation and compliance of such requirements across the Bank.
  • Register, review, and verify KYC information submitted by branches in a systematic and accurate manner.
  • Review relevant agreements and contractual documents related to Core Banking System upgrades or changes to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and assess account opening forms and related processes within the new Core Banking System to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the Bank’s established policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review, assess, and provide compliance recommendations from a compliance perspective for new products and electronic services proposed by relevant departments.
  • Calculate, review, and report required financial ratios for assessing the risks associated with partner organizations, where applicable.
  • Collect, consolidate, prepare, and present required information, reports, and data for meetings attended by the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Participate in regulatory meetings and internal/departmental meetings as required, and provide necessary discussions, updates, and recommendations.
  • Attend relevant banking-related training programs and provide knowledge sharing or training sessions to bank employees as required.
